TheirCoordinator of the support group Megan Lambert presents the monitor to Matron of The New Amsterdam Hospital,http://www.soccerpro.us.com/AS-Roma-FC/, Anetta Lykencontribution to development back home is immeasurable as various groups and individuals continue to assist in whatever way possible back home.One such group that has been championing the cause is the Caribbean Medical Mission (CMM).The New Amsterdam Hospital is now in a better position to monitor pregnant women and to help alleviate maternal deaths in the medical institution. On Monday the local chapter of the group presented two Fetal Monitors to the Hospital for use in the maternity ward. The monitor will be attached to the mother and should be able to assist in a great way in monitor when a baby in the mother?s womb is in distress.The donation of the monitors was part of a promise made by members of the medical team which visited last year. It was made by members of the Fyrish, Courtland,Austin Hooper Falcons Jersey, Gibraltar support group. Speaking at the simple ceremony in the boardroom of the hospital was coordinatorNurse Jacqline Denny of the support group presents some of the equipment to Dr. Kester Persaud of the New Amsterdam HospitalMegan Lambert who stated that the organization started in the USA over 15 years ago. She said that the aim of the organization was to assist Guyana and Guyanese back home in whatever way possible. Their main objective however was to assist in health, where donations have been made some times twice yearly.So far she said the organization has donated over US$125,Gordon Hayward Jersey,000 in equipment,Cheap Arizona Diamondbacks Hoodies, drugs and medical supplies to the health sector in Guyana.One of the monitors cost $30,000, but through some of their partners in the USA including the Newark Beth Israel Hospital it was acquired for less.Expressing gratitude on behalf of the New Amsterdam Hospital were medical Superintendent Dr. Vishalie Sharma, Chief Executive Officer Allan Johnson and Matron Anetta Luken.They all expressed their gratitude to the CMM for the continued support and assistance in helping to make the hospital a better place.They noted that the hospital has been benefitting tremendously over the years.Also speaking at the ceremony were nurses attached to the support group, Jacqueline Denny and Shannon Hetmyer.The activity was also attended by Dr. Kester Persaud, senior doctor in the maternity ward of the New Amsterdam Hospital; Drs Derkyne and Shako who were visiting from Georgetown and Senior Departmental Sister Surujnarine Ramchand.The Caribbean Medical Mission (CMM) team was in Guyana during last October with a contingent of six doctors and four nurses headed by Dr. Cort, a former resident of Berbice. During the one week stay,NFL Shop Gear, the team conducted over 44 surgeries, mainly in the areas of Gynaecology and General Surgeries.Apart from the surgeries the CMM organizations donated two Cardiac Monitors, two Fetal Monitors,WBC Jerseys 2017, two infusion pumps and a quantity of medications.
